The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The provided line graph illustrates the average carbon emmision per individuals the the county of United Kingdom,Sweden,Italy and Portugal between the year of 1967 and 2007.
Overall,United Kingdom had the largest per person carbon emmision in the year 1967 and has been able to stay at the top consistently upto year 2007.Citizens of Pourtugal were the individual who amounted the least carbon emission in the year 1967 and still holds being the least carbon emitting country until 2007.
Firstly,United Kingdom's individual contributed in producing the highest carbon emission that made up 11 metric tonnes and had an consistent decrease and reached 9 metric tonnes while reaching year 2007.Conversely,Pourtugese individual contibuted to produce the least carbon emission with a tiny number of 1 metric toones only.Though,the emission per individual in pourtugal also started to ascend it still stayed the country with the lowest carbon emitting country per indiviudals.
Secondly,Sweden showed a quite different pattern as it had a stedy increase in carbon emmision while approaching from 1967 to the year 1977 but then started to fall increasingly and reached from 11 metric tonnes to 5 metric tonnes approaching the year 2007.Italy had a simlar pattern to sweden as it incresed rapidly from year 1967 until year 2007,increasing from 5 metric tonnes to 7 metric tonnes in the overall carbon emission.
