IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 4.5)

The plot demonstrate the average green house gas evolved per person in UK,Sweden,Italy and Purtugal from 1967 to 2007.

In first decade,CO2 release increases in all countries except UK However, in coming years its eission fall rapidly in Sweden but steadily in UK,italy and portugal.

In first decade,all countries were facing incease in carbon dioxide emmision,only UK was stable emission despite this, UK was on top of all countries, emitting green house gas.After this decade, UK shows continues but slow fall in emission, on the other hand there is sharp decline in sweden but steady rising in italy and portugal. Then, in next two decades ,all countries pproximately fall in its emission of carbon dioxide.

There was sudden rise in CO2 emission in SWEDEN is may be due to discvery of uranium there which further lead to its enrichment process causing sudden raise in carbon emissions but after international restriction its emissions fall again.
