The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The graph displays medium carbon dioxide releases per head in the four different countries UK,Sweden,Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007. Carbon dioxide emissions measured in metric tonnes

Overall,United Kingdom and Sweden had noticed there is down fall in emissions whereas,Italy and Portugal observed emissions increased through out the given period per person.

An analysis of image reveals that UK had measured that above 10 metric tonnes per person emissions in year 1967 and it decreases upto nearly 8 metric tonnes in 2007.In addition in Sweden it began around 9 metric tonnes of emissions per person in 1967 and climbed to above 10 tonnes in 1977 and decreases dramatically upto 5 tonnes in 2007.

From the image it is evident that in Italy it is above 4 metric tonnes of secretions by person in 1967 there is dramatical increase upto nearly 8 tonnes in final year 2007.And Portugal it nearly 2 tonnes in 1967 slowly raises upto 5 metric tonnes of emissions released by person in 2007.
