Student answer (Band 6.0)
I agree with it that a lot of individual learn foreign language jut to travel and employment because it help them to deal with other people, in directions while travelling and in business. A lot of citizens also learn it as practical skills and to make their communication strong with people.
I partially agree with first point of view but I really agree with second statement because I really believe that people also learn foreign language for manty personal, academic and social reasons besides travel and work. Moreover their a lot of companies that are multinational and require employees to speak foreign language. It also help to survive more easily in another country. It helps students to study in international universities with higher salaries. It also build international friendship and access people to communicate and to understand their culture.
Therefore, bilingual skills are crucial for carrier opportunities and underpinning to understand culture and social events. I completely in support of the statement that some citizens learn just for work and travel but these are not only motivations. There a lot of reasons like stunning Education, academics and personal development . Researches have shown that by learning other language your memory becomes strong you will more able to understand things clearly.
In conclusion, I partially agree with that the reason to learn foreign language is to travel and work but their are certain people who learn it for skills, for better carrier opportunities, for academics and for personal development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention personal development and cognitive benefits, these points are listed rather than fully extended with detailed examples or logical explanation. Furthermore, the response is slightly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of your argument. To improve, ensure each main point is supported by a specific example or a more thorough explanation of the 'why' and 'how' behind your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'It also', 'Moreover'). Some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs could be smoother. For instance, the transition from discussing multinational companies to student mobility is quite sudden. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'strong' and 'good', and there are several word-choice errors, such as 'carrier opportunities' (should be 'career') and 'stunning Education' (which is an unnatural collocation). There is also a lack of less common lexical items. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, and ensure you are using words in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a lot of individual learn'), missing articles, and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'their a lot of companies' instead of 'there are'). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring correct usage of 'there' versus 'their'.
