Student answer (Band 6.0)
Learning a new language is intrusting as its represent there culture and gives knowledge about their heritage, their tribe. On the other hand some people are protective and insecure about their language and does not want to speak any other language
Learning a new language gives u advantages in many ways, such as while traveling if u knew about their language, u can ask locals for help and can communicate better, English is used almost all over the world and its the basic language which u should be know if u are represent your nation at a would level events,. It also helps to enhance our knowledge by knowing about other languages as u can read books, talking with different kinds of people and understanding them better. Sign language is also takes a big role in it as it is for disable who does not have the ability to speak or write.
There are different kinds of people in this world, some people are more protective about their culture, heritage and language, They also talks in their own language and does not have any intrust in talking people from different countries or different tribals, Such as there are many countries in Europe where people more priorities their own reginal language rather tan English.
Therefore many people have different preceptive about how they react to their language. from my point of view there is no harm in learning new things and specially languages which helps to communicate better and feels a different kind of exposures in your life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is limited. You mention the benefits of language learning (travel, communication) and the opposing view (cultural protectionism), but the ideas are not fully extended. For instance, the point about sign language is somewhat disconnected from the prompt's focus on foreign languages. Your own opinion is stated clearly in the conclusion, but it lacks the depth required for a higher band. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and provides specific, well-explained examples that directly support your main argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Such as there are many countries' is an incorrect way to introduce an example. There is also a lack of logical progression between sentences; the transition from the benefits of language learning to the mention of sign language feels abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence flows naturally from the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors that occasionally impede communication. You use informal abbreviations like 'u' instead of 'you', which is inappropriate for an academic essay. There are also frequent word-choice errors, such as 'intrusting' (interesting), 'would level events' (world-level events), and 'tribals' (tribes). The range of vocabulary is basic, and there is a lack of precision in expressing complex ideas. To improve, focus on learning collocations and academic vocabulary, and avoid informal shorthand or slang.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('its represent', 'some people... does not'), incorrect verb forms ('is also takes'), and punctuation errors. These errors are persistent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to grasp. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and correct verb tense usage, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
