Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses both views and provides an opinion, but the development is uneven. While you cover the reasons for travel and work, the discussion of the 'other reasons' (culture) is underdeveloped and lacks specific examples. Furthermore, your conclusion contradicts your stated position in the introduction; you initially state you favor the 'former' view (work/travel), but the conclusion suggests the 'latter' view has drawbacks that cannot be ignored, creating confusion about your actual stance. To improve, ensure your position is consistent throughout and provide more detailed, illustrative examples for each argument presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To write more' or 'in the form of latter point of view'. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical flow. Referencing is also inconsistent; for instance, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'conversely') and ensuring they are used in the correct context would significantly improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite repetitive and lacks precision. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'better', and 'different'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'french knowing... individual' instead of 'French-speaking individuals' and 'no much hard work'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'linguistic proficiency', 'cultural immersion', or 'professional advancement', and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('migration play', 'few people believes'), article usage ('in order to travel to or work in a foreign country'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors in word order. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
