Student answer (Band 6.5)
I partially agree with first statement that people learn foreign language just to travel and work. T he main reason is people think that they can ear and have better life their. But I completely agree that other people learn as a skill and for better communication. Moreover, people argue that bilingual skill help people to built International friendships.
This skill make life in other country more easier because you can ask direction while travelling and can order food in any restaurant. However, many companies also require second language to communicate Internationally. some citizen learn it for academics, practical skills and for self development. They learn to communicate, to use public transportation and accessing healthcare. It also help to understand culture values and build international friendship.
Some individuals argue that they learn it just to travel and work. For instance; my cousin learn second language jut to relocate abroad and to make her financially stable. He did not learn it for skill and self development. Learning multiple language also enhance memory and people can understand culture values on International scale. Proficiency in other language make access to films, paper work, researches, and online educational resources that may not available in native language.
All in all, I believe that learning foreign language is lifetime investment as it help you in financial stability and in international communication. As it allows students to study international academic material and to participate in global discussion.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the points regarding academic benefits and cognitive development are mentioned but not fully explored or supported with detailed examples. Furthermore, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the overall task achievement score. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more specific examples and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between and within them is sometimes disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'However', their usage is occasionally mechanical or slightly misused, such as the transition into the third paragraph which repeats points already made. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the paragraphing could be more effective to separate the two distinct views from your own opinion. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help improve the overall structure and flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific terms like 'bilingual skill', 'financially stable', and 'global discussion'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'make life in other country more easier' (should be 'easier') and 'accessing healthcare' (should be 'access to healthcare'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary, while ensuring that your word forms are accurate in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('my cousin learn', 'skill make life'), article usage ('in other country'), and tense inconsistencies ('He did not learn it for skill'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly regarding verb endings, articles, and pluralization, to ensure your writing is more polished and professional.
