Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses both views and provides a clear opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the argument regarding 'employment' is mentioned in both body paragraphs, which restricts the depth of the discussion. The response would benefit from more specific examples beyond general references to 'India' or 'government colleges'. While the position is clear, the supporting points lack the necessary elaboration to reach a higher band. The conclusion attempts to summarize, but it introduces new phrasing that is slightly confusing, such as 'having considerable these arguments'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To embark with' are non-standard, and the transition between sentences is sometimes abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'master programme' and 'lifestyle' is disjointed. While there is an overall progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive sentence structure hinder the flow of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'visiting and occupation purpose' instead of 'professional or travel purposes' and 'the abroad country' instead of 'a foreign country'. Spelling errors are also present, such as 'belive' and 'permenantly'. The range of vocabulary is limited, and the student relies on basic terms, failing to demonstrate the ability to use less common lexical items effectively or accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('people decided to learn'), incorrect preposition usage ('stay into the abroad'), and awkward phrasing ('via that they can getting job'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While the meaning is generally discernible, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from achieving a higher score. More attention to sentence construction and proofreading is necessary.
