Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, it is essential to learn new languages, thus, it is indispensable for humans. On this thing, people of two different mindset argued that, one think that it is only necessary for traveling or work, while, other think that, these are not only the reasons. Both the views have been discussed in further paragraphs and my opinion mentioned in the end.
To begin with, due to remembering new languages an individuals are able to generate broader opportunity in their working profession, this is because, they can easily communicate with the foreign clients, and for that they can move to higher position in the organization. For example, Deloitte- an IT company of America, gave promotion to their employees who can speaks more than two languages, to get more customers. Moreover, many people are often plan to shift abroad to get convenient life style, so they travel to in other country permenently they will get enough openings to earn.
To contrast, some people love to learn plenty of languages to get higher reputation; to spread a knowledgeable impression among other humans. Furthermore, it aids a person and motivates the, to start own teaching institute of several languages, because they think they can a large amount of money from it. For instance, in Indian, people who learn languages, 50% of them would like to open the academic school for students.
To conclude, people may want a better salary and reputed designation in company that's why they study other languages, however, I think that the working profession and traveling situations are two major reason why people learn new languages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention professional advancement and reputation, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-integrated examples. For instance, the reference to 'Deloitte' is a good attempt, but the explanation of how language skills lead to promotions is slightly underdeveloped. Furthermore, your conclusion contradicts your body paragraphs by stating that work and travel are the 'major reasons,' which creates a slight inconsistency with the second body paragraph. To improve, ensure your supporting points are fully explored and that your personal opinion is clearly stated and consistently supported throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'To contrast.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'On this thing' in the introduction, which is not standard academic English. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences can feel disjointed. While the paragraphing is sufficient, the progression of ideas would benefit from more sophisticated linking words and a smoother transition between the two opposing viewpoints and your own conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate to convey your meaning, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'remembering new languages' (instead of 'learning' or 'acquiring'), 'convenient life style' (instead of 'better quality of life'), and 'reputed designation' (instead of 'prestigious position'). You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the overall range is limited. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and avoiding repetitive or slightly inaccurate phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('one think,' 'people... is'), incorrect verb forms ('who can speaks'), and awkward phrasing ('people of two different mindset argued'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately.
