Student answer (Band 5.5)
These days, many people of different countries are interested i learning foreign languages which increases their interpersonal skills. Some poeple thinks that social and practical problems are creating by another country language. I completely disagree with this thesis and in this essay i will support my opinion with examples.
Firstly, foreign language enhance your own perosnality. For example, another language give a chance to developed your business as a newpaper translator or can opened your language schools like Japanese, German and so on. I believe it should be to continue because it increases the busniess purposes which will increase our country's economy.
Secondly, I agree with this because of those students who are interested for studying abroad. For example, In Italy many students from different countires comes for studying but only those students have more access to achieve admission which have an italian language certificate and similar in the case for German. Speak a foreign language also help to many students who are intrereted to study in foreign country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention the benefits of language learning for business and study, the arguments are somewhat superficial and lack depth. The second paragraph is slightly confusing, as it starts by agreeing with the prompt but then discusses the benefits of language certificates for university admission. The counter-argument regarding the loss of one's mother tongue is introduced but not effectively integrated or refuted, which weakens your overall position. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea that directly supports your thesis statement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'I agree with this because of those students' is not a logical transition. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the conclusion does not logically follow the preceding arguments. The flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel disjointed at times. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help create a smoother reading experience.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'creating by another country language' instead of 'caused by foreign languages' and 'jobs rate' instead of 'employment opportunities'. You also rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic and precise terminology, and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical form and context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Some poeple thinks', 'another language give', 'students... comes'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'only those students have more access to achieve admission which have an italian language certificate'. These persistent errors in basic grammar significantly affect the clarity of your writing. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement will lead to immediate improvement.
