Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention travel, employment, and cultural understanding, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-developed examples. For instance, the paragraph regarding intellectual benefits is quite brief and relies on lists rather than cohesive argumentation. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with a clear explanation and a concrete example. The position is consistent, but the overall task response would benefit from more sophisticated reasoning and a more balanced exploration of the two perspectives provided in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'Secondly', and 'In addition'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'Although, that one of that main reason'. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is often repetitive and lacks precision. You use basic terms like 'learning' and 'good' frequently. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'globalization world' (globalized world), 'duel languages' (dual/bilingualism), and 'upskill the educational' (which is grammatically and lexically awkward). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'intellectual level' and 'international companies', the range is limited. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing by incorporating synonyms and more sophisticated academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You frequently struggle with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Learning foreign languages are' (is) and 'someone knows' (know). There are also persistent errors with articles ('the' vs. 'a') and prepositions, such as 'in abroad' (abroad) and 'understand there books' (their). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
