Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While the points regarding career opportunities and cognitive benefits are relevant, they are presented in a list-like fashion without sufficient elaboration or concrete examples. The conclusion is brief, and the overall depth of the argument is somewhat superficial. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed explanations or specific real-world examples to demonstrate a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Moreover' to link your points. However, some of the transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disjointed, such as in the second paragraph where sentences like 'In addition, foreign langauge is best opportunities tour, study and job related' lack grammatical cohesion with the preceding text. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking phrases would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'trevelling', 'viist', 'foregin', and 'opportunitiees', which occur throughout the text. While the meaning is clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, focus on expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy to ensure your writing appears more professional and polished.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include 'While other to think that there are several other important reason' (subject-verb agreement and word form issues) and 'foreign language are extremely useful' (plural/singular agreement). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar—such as articles and verb forms—prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage.
