Student answer (Band 5.5)
Language is the thing which enables us to understand others and to communicate with them. Every country has its own language thts why whever, someone who travels to other country he should have to learn their language to survive there.
On one side some individuals believe that learning language of other countries is beneficial due to travelling and for the employment there. They are right at there place because if you do not have any knowledge of their language you whould suffer. you will not be able to your problem to the citizens soyou will not be able to communicate with them.
Moreover, you will also face difficulty in finding job.But i will not completely agree with their statement i also respext the opinion of the remainig people language is not only crucial in employment and communication while some people have interst in learning the language of other countries. It is very valuable on international scale it helps in dealings with other countries for import and export. It is essiential in resolving their issues. Thats why learning language of other countries is necessary.
For instance, i knew the people of my native country once they went abroad for visiting there they found that communication is the basic need but it does not mean thtat it has no more importace in any other affirs of life. they tell me that language and flag are the sign of their country.
From my prospective i favour the people who are saying that it is the basic need for travel and to find job in other country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the benefits of language learning for international trade and personal interest are mentioned but not sufficiently extended or supported with clear examples. The conclusion is somewhat contradictory, as it focuses only on the first view despite the prompt asking for a discussion of both. To improve, you should ensure each paragraph provides a clear, well-supported argument that directly relates to the prompt, and ensure your final opinion is clearly stated and consistent with your previous points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the abrupt transition 'But i will not completely agree' and the repetitive use of 'Thats why'. The logical progression is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and run-on sentences, making the flow feel disjointed. To achieve a higher score, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') and ensure that each sentence connects logically to the one preceding it.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'language', 'country', and 'people'. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'dealings with other countries' or 'affirs of life'. There are also several spelling errors (e.g., 'thts', 'whever', 'respext', 'interst', 'essiential', 'prospective'). To improve, you should aim to use more academic vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include missing articles (e.g., 'to other country'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'he should have to learn'), and punctuation errors, such as missing capital letters and run-on sentences (e.g., 'you will not be able to your problem to the citizens soyou will not be able to communicate'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors interfere with the overall quality of the writing. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation before attempting more complex structures.
