Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few citizens state that there is only one logic for learning other country language is in to go abroad or job in other state. On the other individuals express that there are also other reasons why somebody should learn a different language.

Now a days in our country many teenagers learn other languages to study abroad or to work in other countries.

Overall this essay will discuss the both point of view of people who say learning language is reason for travelling or wroking in other countries, others who say there are many reasons for learning a foreign language.

In our country most of the people learn foreign languge to study abroad or to work in other states. Most of the teenagers in our country now a days learn different languages like German and English because they want to go different states like Germany, Australia and United Kingdom etc. so that they can study higher education and also do work to meet their expenses. Foe example, my friend also learn English language beacuse he want to go to Australia as he can study higher education.

On the other hand some citizens think that there are other reasons why people learn foreign language. In this generation English language is spoken in more other than different language. So individuals think that learning English is good for them so that it can help them in future.

But in my opinion, most of the people learn other languages to study in other states and also to do work in abroad.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The essay addresses both views presented in the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that people learn languages for travel or work, the discussion of 'other reasons' is underdeveloped and lacks depth. You mention that English is spoken widely, but you do not explore cognitive, cultural, or social benefits of language learning, which would have provided a more balanced argument. Your position is stated in the conclusion, but it lacks a clear, consistent thread throughout the body paragraphs. To improve, ensure each viewpoint is supported by specific, well-explained examples rather than repeating the same points about studying abroad.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The introduction is repetitive, and the transition between the two viewpoints is abrupt. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'But in my opinion', the overall flow is hindered by the lack of sophisticated linking words. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the structure of the paragraphs feels somewhat mechanical. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic phrases such as 'learn other languages', 'study abroad', and 'work in other countries'. There is little attempt to use less common or academic vocabulary. Additionally, there are several word-choice errors, such as 'other country language' instead of 'foreign language' and 'wroking' (spelling error). To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise terminology related to the topic, such as 'linguistic proficiency', 'globalization', 'cultural immersion', or 'career advancement', and ensure you use these words in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are frequent issues with article usage ('the English language'), subject-verb agreement ('my friend also learn'), and sentence structure ('there is only one logic for learning other country language is in to go abroad'). You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that your verbs agree with your subjects and that you use prepositions and articles correctly. Proofreading for basic errors like 'now a days' (nowadays) is essential.
