IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Individual argue about the reason of learning language is only for travel purpose and work in a foreign country while other believe there are another major reason also there to the learn a foreign language. This essay discuss both view before present my own prespective.
On the one hand, learning a foreign language for travel to or work in a another country because for travel around the world people should know native language. It is important for the communitcate with people and the navigation purpose such as find location. someone who want to get information of cultural they can easy access with the help of native language. For working, individual may want to getting job in foreign country, worker should know foreign language because easy to daily conversation with other workers and problem solving activity. For instance, Germany could direct hire people who can speak and write german language. As a result people can gain exposure and improve quality of life.
On the other hand, individuals learn foreign language for the improve communication skills it leads to getting more opportunity in job in multinational company and high level company. school and collage can add subject such as a english which help to boost their skills. For instance, Governments should provide free education related to english language skills which help to students. As a result student can learn from basic. In future it may reduce consequnses related to language barrier.
In conclusion, I believe both view having equal important because todays era foreign language is important for the communication,travel and work. It improve opportunity for getting job and industry exposure apart from that cultural experience also get during travel.

The student uses basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', but within paragraphs, sentences are often joined awkwardly or lack smooth transitions. For example, 'someone who want to get information of cultural they can easy access with the help of native language' lacks cohesive ties to the preceding sentence. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal progression is weak and repetitive, making it sometimes difficult to follow the logical flow, which aligns with Band 5.0.
