IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reason . In this essay we see about importance of foreign language.
On the one hand , Learning a foreign language is useful for travel you go for country visit you should learn foreign language listening, reading and speaking skill so it is help to travel in country .For work in country they demand you to have their country language to get better understand of your work . it is useful for your communication in jobs . it feels to comfort in your job and you not feel alone , and for travel it is good for your communication , example ; if you need of taxi , help other purpose it beneficial for you .
On the other hand, learning foreign language is not just for travel and work , however; It you feel about new learning skills new abilities are generate in our mind . we understand new culture and religion of of other country that make our moral standard , also history of other country that can make thinking of past . we also learn about their leaving life style of country . it is useful to communicate people from other country that can make good friends, you can expand your business like import-export , you can make wide range of clients with use of technology like in it and finance sector. In my opinion i believe that learning foreign language is useful in many purpose.
In conclusion . learning foreign language useful in work and travel although it make you understand culture, religion, lifestyle and history of country also in business , it and finance sector .that can give wide range of useful for us.
