IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Foreign language is basically those language which is used in other countries. People own language called local or national language. In the whole world billion or trillion language spoken.

Yes it's true foreign language is basically used for travel to other countries for work and other concerns. People even speak different language living in the same country, same city and town. We understand other people through language and it's a basic need for us to learn other countries language for our own advantage. Through communication we understand each other thoughts and emotions . But many people learn language eagerly for their own interest to understand other countries culture, religion and behavior's. Human being nature is to explore many things that's why they are interested in learning something new and purpose full .

For example in all countries when government visit on official travel for country concerns employees and Prime ministers specially higher a translator to understand other foreign Minister's language without knowing any language you can't understand any thing of other countries you are like new baby which know nothing and start from zero . Billion of students want to go other countries for studies and it's compulsory to learn those countries language and exam based test conducted and important to pass these tests and achieve a good score for admission requirements. Like IELTS, Toffel, Oxford language course's and at the end it's basic need for all people who wants to visit other countries for study purpose or for official work and travel purpose to learn foreign language.
