IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In modren world learning of foreign is an art, if you have this you can travel anywhere without any hesitation.So learning the language of other countries is essential for everyone. Some people believe that the reason learning of foreign language is in order to travel or work in other country, while other argue that these are not the reasons why individuals should learn a foreign language.In my opinion learning of foreign language is important in every field of life. This essay will discuss both points of view.
To commence with, proponents say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel or work. To elaborate it the learning of foriegn is important for both work and travel, if someone want to travel to foreign country and he do not understand the language he should face many problem. For instance europeain country do not allow any one a visa if they do not u nderstand the English. Hence this learning is helpfull in both travelling and work.
On the other hand,the opponents say these are not the reason why someone should learn foreign lagguage. To explain it, the learning of foreign language is also important other than work or travelling such education. For example, if someone want to got their higher education abroad,like UK,USA and Germany the IELTS is necessary, because most of the university do no allow to get addmission in their university without this test. So we should learn foreign language.
In my opinion learning any language important in every field of life because without knowing language you can understand someone and also no one understand you if they do not know your language. Learning foreign language benefit us in travelling, work, education, health and many other field.
In conculsion,learning of foreign language not only helpful in work nad travelling but also useful in education. So erveryone shold learn other language with their language which should be helpfull in the year coming.
