Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, some portion of the socity holds a view that, the travelling and working in overseas are the only key factors to learn a new foreign language. On the other side, some individuals opine that, those are not the only reasons for somebody to be a multilinguestic. So, in the forthcoming paragraphs, I have discussed both the views and included my opinion at the end.
Firstly, the technological evolution in the current timeline evolve so high thet individuals started migrating into foreign country in search of new employment opportunities. Apart from that, the tourist sector is booming nowdays and people love to explore new places specially which are situated overseas and in those siurcumstances having ability to interact with the locals with your newly learned language will significantly increse the overall experience because by that you will understand the infrormation or discription provided by the instructors or guids, it will make easy to roam around new locations and makes you to feel comfortable while exploration.
On the othe side, learning new laguages and being multilinguestic is not everybody's cup of tea. It takes to much dedication to learn and develop understanding in foreign language. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views: the first body paragraph explains how language can help people communicate with employers and local residents, while the second gives reasons beyond travel and work, including learning online and enjoying international entertainment. Your conclusion also makes your general position clear: language learning is useful regardless of the reason. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The benefits for employment and tourism are listed, but not illustrated with a specific example, and the claims that language learning improves intelligence and focus or is “scientifically proven” are asserted rather than explained. Make your opinion explicit earlier and develop each main point with a clear explanation or relevant example to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally keep to their intended focus, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other side,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical, and repeated transitions such as “Apart from that” do not always show the precise relationship between ideas. The first body paragraph also packs several points into long sentences, making the progression less clear. Use more specific links to show cause, contrast, or example, and divide the tourism discussion into clearer steps. Ensure references such as “those” and “it” point unmistakably to the intended idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “employment opportunities,” “communicate with the locals,” “international TV shows,” and “online course.” This gives you enough language to convey the main ideas, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “socity,” “multilinguestic,” “siurcumstances,” and “increse.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “the technological evolution … evolve so high” and “higher positining job.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than using elaborate phrasing. Proofread spelling carefully and learn useful expressions in context, such as “seek employment abroad” and “broaden one’s cultural understanding.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because” and “while,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, and complex sentences often contain several grammatical problems. For example, “the technological evolution … evolve so high” has faulty agreement and construction, while “It will helps people” uses an incorrect verb form. There are also errors in articles, plurals, and sentence structure, as in “migrating into foreign country” and “learning new languages helps individual.” Punctuation after introductory phrases is sometimes misplaced. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then combine ideas using subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms during revision.
