Student answer (Band 4.5)
According to people, few thinks that there is single reason for learning another language in order to travel as well as for work in foreign country. Although, other says these are not the following reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. For instance, I agree with the first statement however, I disagree with the second statement.
One major reason is that, Its beneficial to us learning a foreign language because learning such language will help us to communicate with foreign people in term of travel. For example, the person planed for an abroad trip where people cannot speak in English, so in terms of survival needs to learn some basics words for little conversation to make them understand.
In spite of this, the second benefit to learn a foreign language in order of work in foreign countries. Doing work in foreign countries they required a basic language to understand. Also learning a foreign language is most important to work in abroad. For instance, most of the companies all around the glob, they hire those employee that communicate in their language such as Germany, Netherland, and China.
In conclusion, learning a foreign language is more beneficial in terms of there travel and as well as for work. Consequently, I disagree with the people that think these are not the only reasons.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify both views—language learning for travel and for work—and state a position in the introduction and conclusion. However, the discussion is very brief and does not adequately address the opposing view that there are other reasons to learn a language; the sentence about disagreeing with that view is not supported with an explanation or example. The travel and employment points are relevant, but each is only briefly illustrated, and the examples remain general. The response also contains 213 words, below the required 250; the eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, explain the alternative reasons people may learn languages, develop your own position with specific support, and meet the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate travel from work. This gives the reader a basic structure. However, progression is limited: the second body paragraph presents work as another benefit without clearly developing the discussion of both views, and the conclusion mainly repeats the opening position. Linking expressions such as “Although,” “In spite of this,” and “Consequently” are sometimes used in ways that do not show the intended relationship between ideas. For example, “In spite of this” introduces a related benefit rather than a contrast. Build clearer links between claims and examples, and use transitions only when their meaning fits.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “foreign language,” “communicate,” “travel,” “companies,” and “employee,” so the main subject is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “survival needs” and “abroad trip.” However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning awkward: “in term of travel,” “some basics words,” and “all around the glob” are examples. Spelling and word-form errors such as “planed” and “glob” also reduce precision. Aim to learn common collocations for travel, employment and language learning, and check spelling and plural forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “the person planed for an abroad trip where people cannot speak in English.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but control is weak: errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, sentence construction and punctuation occur throughout. For instance, “few thinks” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “Doing work in foreign countries they required a basic language” is not a complete, well-formed sentence. Capitalisation and comma use are also inconsistent, as in “Its beneficial to us learning.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
