Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, individuals are very excited to learn different languages. It is agrued by individuals that there is only one reason for learning different language in order to travel and study in foreign country. It is believe that there are several reasons why individuals excited to learn foreign landuage. I will discuss both views in this essay along with my opinion.
To commence with, there are several reasons associatd with it. The most prominent point is, easy to communicate. To explain it, individuals can easily talk to every person in fornar country because of good communication skill. Moreover, when they learn different languages not only help in study but also job opportunities. For example, in different fields individuals can easily communicate like in office work or even while traveling. Therefore, they can speak confidentaly and travel independently without any language barrier.
Moving further, there are numerous other benefits. To elaborate, individuals explore different culture like in Germany or Europe because they can easily understand their languages. In addition, it helps them in watching films or understand the culture. For instance, most of indian people like to watch Japanese shows so when they known japanese language they can easily understand. However, it helps in personal growth and develop confidenent.
In my opinion, learning different language is beneficial like individuals travell different countries and explore culture but also boost personal development.
In conclusion, after taking all the aspects into consideration, I would like to emphasize that it has some valid points. Although it helps in travelling and also benefits to explore and enjoy films and culture. I believe that increase in job opportunity and study.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the topic by mentioning travel, study, employment, cultural understanding and personal development, and you state an opinion that language learning has benefits beyond travel. However, the two views are not discussed with equal clarity: the opening refers to travel and study rather than accurately setting out the view that travel or work abroad is the only reason. The supporting ideas are also limited. For example, the point about Japanese programmes illustrates cultural interest, but the explanation of why this is a reason to learn a language remains brief. Your conclusion introduces job opportunities and study without clearly bringing together the two sides or restating your position. Develop each view with a specific explanation and example, and make your opinion explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, an opinion paragraph and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use signposts such as “Moreover,” “Moving further” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from communication to study, jobs and independent travel without showing how each point develops the main argument. Some linking phrases are mechanical or do not express a clear relationship, and the conclusion’s “Although” clause is left without a complete contrasting main clause. Organise each paragraph around one central reason, connect examples directly to that reason, and use referencing and transitions to make the argument’s development clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “language barrier,” “personal growth,” “job opportunities” and “culture,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “individuals,” “different languages” and “easily.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “agr ued” (written as “agrued”), “fornar,” “confidentaly” and “confidenent,” which can distract the reader. Some combinations are unnatural, for example “explore different culture” and “increase in job opportunity.” Build a more precise range of collocations for education, employment and cultural exchange, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few complex forms, including “because of” explanations and the “not only … but also” construction, but sentence patterns are mostly simple and the more ambitious structures are often faulty. For example, “when they learn different languages not only help in study” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “I believe that increase in job opportunity and study” is incomplete. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement and verb forms, as in “in foreign country,” “it is believe,” and “when they known Japanese language.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement and article use, then check each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb.
