Student answer (Band 4.5)

In my opinion, learning a foreign language is valuable even for people who do not plan to travel or work in a foriegn country it is significant for own knowledges, understands and skills for the culture and get a chance to communicate with other countries because if you learning foriegner languages it is helpful for your knowledges and skills. However, people have a choice to learn a language because it is really necessary for all those if they want to travel or work. On the other hand, people are learning for their skills if you have multilingual languages it is benefits or helpful for your career or future. Approximately, people are doing a classes for their langauges and they interact with other countries and develop their skills and knowledges. Probably, in schools or colleges they are provided some foreigner langauges some students can join the classes that much of availability in the schools or colleges. from my perspective, it is necessary for all people if they are trying to learn a foriegner languages and get a chances to communicate with foreigner people someone also like to interact with social media through if they are follow or friend in following list sometimes it is also helpful to learn a new languages. Last but not the least, if you are travel or work it is not important things that you are learning to go abroad you can learning for own benefits or knowledges and develops you skills that you can moreover includes in CV/resume that's really helpful for your career goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a relevant overall opinion: learning languages can benefit people beyond travel and work, including through cultural understanding, communication, and career development. You also refer to the view that language learning is useful for people who travel or work abroad. However, the two positions are not discussed in a balanced or clearly separated way, and several points are repeated rather than explained. For example, the benefits of “knowledges and skills” and adding languages to a CV are mentioned, but there is little explanation or a specific example showing how these benefits arise. The response therefore addresses the topic only partially. To strengthen it, explain each view in turn, then state your position clearly and support it with a developed example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a recognisable line of thought, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “from my perspective” signal shifts between points. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the discussion of the two views and your own opinion is difficult to follow. Several linking expressions do not show a clear relationship between ideas: “Approximately” does not introduce a meaningful estimate, while “Last but not the least” leads into a point that largely repeats earlier claims. References such as “these” and “it” are sometimes unclear. Use separate paragraphs for the opposing view, other reasons, and your conclusion, and connect each sentence with a precise relationship such as cause, contrast, or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “multilingual,” “communicate,” “career goals,” and “CV/resume.” These choices show an effort to discuss language learning and its practical benefits. However, the range is basic and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “skills,” “knowledges,” and “helpful.” There are also frequent spelling and word-choice problems, such as “foriegn,” “foriegner,” “langauges,” and “a classes,” which make parts of the response less clear or natural. Some combinations are not idiomatic, including “multilingual languages” and “own benefits or knowledges.” Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations; for instance, use “cultural awareness” and “career prospects” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, including with “because” and “if,” and you use some simple sentence patterns to express an opinion. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent, and errors often make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “because if you learning” and “if you are travel or work,” where the verb forms are not correctly constructed. Agreement and number are also problematic in “it is benefits” and “a new languages.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention: the opening sentence runs on, and “from my perspective” begins a sentence without a capital letter. Practise accurate simple clauses first, then combine them using correctly formed conditional and causal structures.
