Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views: the first body paragraph explains how language can help with travel, cultural contact and employment, while the next gives broader reasons, including education, technology, entertainment and national economic growth. Your position is also clear in the introduction and conclusion: learning languages has value beyond travel and work. These points are relevant, but some are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that foreign-language knowledge improves a country’s economy needs a clearer link or a specific example, and the education and technology benefits are listed without development. The discussion of travel and work is somewhat more concrete. To strengthen the response, explain each main reason and support it with a focused example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting the views, and a conclusion. The progression from travel and employment to wider benefits is generally easy to follow, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “For instance” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The second body paragraph moves quickly from work and education to economic growth, communication, and films, so its central focus becomes difficult to track. The opening also combines the general claim and the opposing view in a crowded sentence. Group related points more carefully, use clearer references to show how examples support claims, and make each paragraph develop one main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “cultures and traditions,” “miscommunication,” “economic growth,” and “business.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “foreing,” “peronal,” “langugage,” and “economical growth”; the more natural phrase is “economic growth.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “in 20’s era” and “english place an important role.” Aim to learn common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise phrasing would make your ideas clearer without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “if you can able to communicate” and a relative clause in “which help the person to increase…” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. Subject–verb agreement and verb forms are problematic in examples such as “it provide,” “everyone want,” and “it give”; articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “knowing an foreing language.” Several sentences join multiple ideas without clear punctuation, particularly the long sentence beginning “Moreover, it present…”. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them with conjunctions. Check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
