Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is belived by some citizen say learning a foreign help to travel or work in foreign country, while other say these ar not only reason to lear a foreign language.
There are two main reason learning a foreign language to travel and work in a foreign county.Foreign language can help each and every think to work or travel all over country.it's help to people do work any kind of work also highly paid salary. When i was know the language every where i work all over stuf are so understand for what i am syaing.Diffrent country language help to people understand each and every think and every placec and help touris to travel in different area.If you don't understand a foreign language then there are so much diffecultis. For example, when i was travel a italy i don't understand italian language that's way much difficultis eac and every where when i travel, people don't understand english language so it a diffecult for me.
On the other hand say, these are not the only reason to learn a foreign language.Firstly, they belive when a person know the any work defenetly he will jobs and these should be no language problem.Secondly, any one person go to travel in any different country they use to internatinal language like english. For example when i go to travel another country always use translator to communication a local resident, cab driver, hotel stuf and lot of other person.
I strongly belive that foreign language can help to travel or work in foreign county. In my opinion foreign language help to work smouthly and highly salary and also each and every ware work and communication to each and every person,on the other hand when people travel another country if he know the language then they help every where in foreign country.
In conculotion,I strongly belive that if you knok a foreign language defenetly you improve every where, also you are not scray anybody.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state your own position, particularly in the final body paragraph and conclusion, where you support learning a language for travel and work. The examples about travelling in Italy and using a translator are relevant and help illustrate the discussion. However, the treatment of the opposing view is unclear: the claim that people can use English or translators is presented, but its connection to why language learning may have other purposes is not explained. Your reasons for learning languages are also narrow and often repeated, with little development beyond employment, travel and communication. Develop the alternative view with distinct reasons, such as cultural understanding or personal interest, and explain how each supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an opening, separate body paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use basic signposts such as “On the other hand,” “Firstly,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or joined without clear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph moves from work and salary to understanding places and then to your Italy experience without a clear sequence. References such as “these” and “they” are sometimes unclear, and several sentences run together with limited punctuation. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and exemplify it, using linking words only where they accurately show the relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “foreign language,” “translator,” “communication,” and “local resident,” and the Italy example gives you a chance to discuss practical language needs. However, the range is limited and key words such as “work,” “travel,” “help,” and “every” recur frequently. Many spelling errors, including “belived,” “difficultis,” and “conculotion,” make the writing less clear, while several combinations are unnatural, such as “highly paid salary” and “communication a local resident.” Aim to learn accurate topic-related phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for cultural, educational or personal reasons would also help you discuss the second view rather than relying mainly on travel and employment.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons, examples and contrasts, and there are some longer sentence forms, such as the sentence beginning “For example, when i was travel a italy.” However, these attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “when i was know the language,” “these are not the only reason,” and “if he know the language then they help.” Several clauses are joined without appropriate punctuation, as in the opening sentence, and the conclusion also contains an incomplete or unclear construction. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using reliable patterns such as “When I travelled to Italy, I found it difficult to communicate.”
