Student answer (Band 5.5)

In modern days, learning language especially an international language is extremely beneficial for everyone, some individuals argue that if you want to do jobs or to travel in another specific linguistic country, then it is merely the fact behind learning language of that country while, others believe that this is not the only case. In this essay i would discuss about it.

First of all I would say that, learning a new communication ways for doing work or for travelling to different countries is essential. Because it offers numerous facilities to the treveller or worker for interaction with the citizens and for their daily rountine. For instance, in these days a lot of individuals are learning languages to move from their home countries to another one, through work viza or as a visitor, to enjoy the setting of that places and calmness and also the new world of living people. So, for all these things they must have learned a specific language or an international language to observe the attitudes of other people. When they will learn a new language, all this would be easy for them.

Secondly, pursuing a new communication ways is not just for working and travelling in the particular country but for another abundant things like for setlement in that country, one should have to pass their language test to be suitable for nationality of that country. additionally for studnet viza, learners should have to fulfill their requirements and language test like ( IELTS, PTE) these are mendatory for viza processing.

In conclusion, i would really into that in the present now if someone wants to go abroad he must have a certificate of that country language test. Overall learnig another languge is required both for work as well as for ample another thigs like for settlement and for study viza, it is not limited just to the work or travelling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: the first body paragraph explains how language helps people communicate while travelling or working abroad, and the second gives other reasons, including settlement and study. Your conclusion also makes your position clear that language learning has purposes beyond work and travel. However, the discussion is uneven: the first view receives more explanation, while the additional reasons are listed briefly and are not fully explored. The opening says you will discuss the issue, but your own opinion is not clearly stated until the conclusion. Develop each view with a specific, relevant example and explain why it matters; for instance, show how language learning can deepen cultural understanding or support study, rather than focusing mainly on visa requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This makes the overall arrangement easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from work and travel to migration, enjoying a place, and observing people’s attitudes without clearly connecting these points. Some linking is mechanical, and the opening sentence is overloaded, making the relationship between the two views harder to follow. Use a clearer topic sentence for each paragraph, then develop one main idea with an example and explanation. More precise referencing and transitions would also help readers see how each point supports your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “interaction,” “citizens,” “settlement,” and “language test,” and you attempt some less common expressions. However, the range is limited by repeated phrases such as “new communication ways” and “another language,” while several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “calmness,” “observe the attitudes,” and “abundant things.” Spelling errors such as “treveller,” “rountine,” and “studnet” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling; choose natural expressions such as “communicate with local residents” and “adapt to daily life” rather than translating phrases directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if someone wants to go abroad” and clauses beginning with “Because” and “When.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “learning a new communication ways … is essential” has problems with number and sentence structure, while “When they will learn … all this would be easy” uses an unsuitable tense combination. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “a lot of individuals are learning languages to move … to another one.” Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with consistent tense and agreement.
