Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both views and state a position: the essay supports travel and work as the main reasons, while also mentioning personal interest and friendships. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening says “this essay supports former view,” but the conclusion acknowledges other motivations without clarifying how strongly you regard them. The reasons are relevant but brief; for example, you say language helps workers “access job” and “adjust” abroad, but do not develop this with a specific explanation or example. The response is also 25 words below the 250-word minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each view further and make your opinion precise throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links feel mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Although” and “However” are used together in the opening without a clear relationship, while “therefore” in the same sentence does not connect smoothly to the preceding idea. The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each reason to its explanation, and check that linking words express the intended relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “foreign language,” “conversation,” “culture,” and “earning money,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “debat,” “wheather,” “neccesarry,” and “passinate.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “visit to” and “learn a other country language.” These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Build accuracy with common topic collocations and proofread spelling; for example, use “travel abroad,” “learn another language,” and “communicate with local people.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a clause beginning “when they want to visit” and a sentence using “which helps them.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, agreement, prepositions, and sentence boundaries affect clarity. Examples include “a other country,” “people are passinate,” and “helps them to access job adjust in other country environment.” Several sentences also run together, particularly in the introduction, where punctuation does not clearly separate contrasting ideas. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, and check articles, plural forms, and punctuation before submitting.
