Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays often people study foriegn language to travel, work or get a degree in a forieign country. In other opinions it is not the only reason people want to learn a different tounge they want to evolve in many skills for their own knowledge.
There are serval reasons why most of the community think students learn dialects to tour or to have a job in a foriegn country. Inpresent many locals are shifting from their own homelands to other places in search of good work to settle down thier life while majority are seeking other speeches as they love to go around other contients to research on there cultures, traditions and how they communicate. For example, my cousin brother have studied english to go and work in UK, while one of my friend likes travelling to germany she is gaining knowledge to understand german
Further more many popule are watching serval types of dramas, movies , tv shows and most significantly Anime. That has also created a major interest in residents to accquire fluency so they can view there favorite shows with more excitement and visibility of a dialect. Groups can learn any type of language as they want for their own interest and education they just dont want to be remarked by a title of saying they are learning to move out. For instance my sister watches korean dramas because she enjoy the stories of there school life and daily routine
In conclusin, its just all depends on your own preferences or the things you want to do in future its just that people shouldnt give it a poor remark.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both reasons for learning a language: travel or employment, and personal interests such as entertainment and education. The examples about your cousin working in the UK and your sister watching Korean dramas help make these points relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the first view is explained more clearly than the broader benefits of learning for personal knowledge, and the conclusion says that it depends on preference without clearly stating your own position on the two views. To strengthen the response, explain why you consider non-travel reasons equally important, and develop each main idea with a clearer explanation of its value. This would make your position and support more complete and consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the main direction of the discussion. You also use signposts such as “For example,” “Further more,” and “In conclusin.” However, some links feel mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always clear. For instance, the second body paragraph moves from television and anime to language learning for education and then to avoiding a label, without fully connecting these points. Some references, such as “they” and “there,” are also unclear. Group related ideas more tightly and use linking phrases to show how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “fluency,” “traditions,” “interest,” and “preferences,” and the examples make your meaning generally understandable. However, the range is limited by repeated or imprecise wording, including “foreign country,” “language,” and “learn,” while several choices are unnatural or unclear, such as “evolve in many skills,” “other speeches,” and “poor remark.” Spelling errors such as “foriegn,” “serval,” and “conclusin” also reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “develop their skills,” “other languages,” and “criticise this choice” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at longer structures, such as the sentence beginning “While majority are seeking…” and the explanation of why people watch Korean dramas. However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries occur throughout. Examples include “my cousin brother have studied,” “my one of friend,” and “she enjoy the stories.” Several sentences also run together, particularly the sentence about travelling to other continents and researching cultures. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and article use, and separate long ideas into complete sentences before adding more complex structures.
