Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few people say that only foreign language can help travel and work in a foreign countries, while other people say that these are not only resons to learn a foreign language, both side of discouse on this essay.

There are two main resons for learning a foreign language.Firstly,we learn a foreign language travel in another country for example a historical places, local culture, local people to talk and new environment enjoy if we know the language. When we visit a new country if we know a language then all over the country we shoud travel and also country side area are cover.Secondly,if we learn foreign language we must be benifit in work in foreign country. For example if we know a spanish language we are manage any kind of job in spain. We know in europe every country have a separated language if we know language then easly managed a job and also highly paid.Language is the main solution to the work place becouse if we know language we are communicate other staf and service all kind of customer.

On the other hand people say that these are not only reason to learn foreign language, because if we know the language but any kind of job facility are not available so its a very common problem in foreign country, while traveler are more problem in local community and local guid there are lot's of time problem significantly.

In my opinion foreign language can help in travel and work both side.If we know about the netive main language a foreign country then each and every were we sustanable and worker are more benifit also traveler should go each and every where in country.Language a huge impact in both side if you learn a language you are the king of your side in foreign country.

In conclusion if we know about foreign language then we can solve every problem and every where also any kind of job we managed as soon as possible.Traveler ar more easyly connect the local people and there local culture so all over side we just benefit if we know the foreign language.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views by explaining that language can help people travel and find work, and you give a personal position in “In my opinion foreign language can help in travel and work both side.” These points are relevant, but the discussion is only partial: the reasons for learning beyond travel and employment are not clearly explained. The paragraph beginning “On the other hand” mainly describes difficulties in a foreign country rather than giving other purposes for learning a language, such as education, relationships, or understanding another culture. Your examples about Spanish and jobs in Spain are also broad and not fully developed. To strengthen the response, explain both sides directly and support your opinion with specific, clearly connected examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on travel and work, a contrasting paragraph, an opinion, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the essay. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several ideas are joined without showing their relationship. For example, the travel paragraph moves from historical places to countryside travel without a clear explanation, while the contrast paragraph shifts to job availability and problems for travellers. Repeated use of “if we know the language” and “also” makes cohesion mechanical. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “local culture,” “customer,” “work place,” and “foreign country,” so the reader can identify the main subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “language,” “country,” and “benefit.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices—such as “resons,” “benifit,” “netive,” and “sustanable”—make parts of the response difficult to understand. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “the king of your side” and “highly paid” in the context of managing a job. Build a more precise vocabulary for purposes of language learning and use common collocations, such as “communicate with local people” and “improve employment prospects.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional forms such as “if we know a language then…” and a reason clause beginning “because.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “every country have” and “we are communicate”; articles and plurals are also frequently missing or incorrect, as in “a historical places” and “a separated language.” Sentence boundaries and commas are often poorly controlled, making some sentences hard to follow. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with correctly formed clauses, articles, and subject–verb agreement.
