Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people believe that there are only two reasons regarding learning foreign language, one for going abroad and to work in foreign country. While others believe there are much more reasons except these. I'm going to discuss both off these reasons and then show my opinion afterward.

A number of people learn other languages to go outside the country and for study abroad because language is a great barrier for comminucation, espacially between different nations. Surely, learning foreign country give individuals a great advantage in respect of hiring for a job and to study in public or private educational institution as well. Candidate with home country language skil will get more preferece regarding not educated. But there are uc more other points, human learn foreign language for:

Learning is a quite challanging task and a great skill to sharpen learners mind. Obviously, learning a others country's communication language will help a person in a great way. It makes person able to convey thoughts among online friends, which is quite promising for others. Moreover the person who does not have that type of skill, wiil stuck in different situations.Knowing foreign helps people to make friends, know foreign cultures and multi-nation trade as well. The second opinion is actually my reason what I'm supporting.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first paragraph identifies travel and overseas work, while the later discussion mentions learning for communication, friendships, cultural understanding and trade. Your preference for the broader view is also stated. However, the response only partially develops the task: the reasons are mostly listed rather than explained with relevant examples, and the first view is not clearly separated from study abroad. The position is brief and appears only at the end. The response contains 212 words, below the required 250, so there is limited space to develop the discussion. To strengthen the answer, explain each side in a separate paragraph and support key points with a specific example, such as how language ability helps someone settle into a workplace abroad.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: you introduce the two views, discuss reasons for learning abroad, and then turn to wider motivations using “But” and “Moreover.” These signals help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression is not consistently clear. The sentence ending “But there are uc more other points” leads into an unfinished-looking list, and the standalone “Learning is a quite challenging task” does not clearly connect to the preceding point. The response also lacks clear paragraphing to distinguish the two views and the conclusion. Use one paragraph for each view, followed by a concise conclusion, and connect each reason to the next with precise references rather than relying on general transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “communication,” “educational institution,” “cultures” and “trade,” and you convey several distinct reasons for language learning. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form and collocation are noticeable, sometimes making ideas difficult to interpret. Examples include “comminucation,” “espacially,” “prefer[e]ce,” and “foreign country language.” Phrases such as “go outside the country” and “sharpen learners mind” are also imprecise for the intended meaning. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “travel overseas,” “improve cognitive skills,” and “communicate across cultures.” Proofreading spelling and choosing standard collocations would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “While.” However, the range is limited, and complex constructions are often faulty. For example, “learning foreign country give individuals” has problems with the noun phrase and subject–verb agreement, while “the person who does not have that type of skill, wiil stuck” lacks the correct verb form and has faulty punctuation. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “learning foreign language” and “a others country's.” These errors can make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise building accurate sentences with articles, agreement and complete verb phrases, then check punctuation and sentence boundaries.
