Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people think that the one reason for learning a non-native language is in order to travel to or work in a foriegn country. Other people say that these are not only reasons why someone should learn international language. From my perspective, I strongly believe that learning a foreign language are not reasons order to travel or work in a foreign country. I will discuss the both views in next two peragraph.
Many people think that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign language. But I am not agree with the first statement becasue learning a international language is not necessary for travel or work becasue this is need to all thing in our life. English is a potential language in nowadays. This skill is need in anytime in our life. For example, when I watch a english movie that time I understand english language learning how much important.
Now, I discuss why I am agree with the second statement. I strongly believe that the second statement is really right. Learn non-native language is effective subject in our life. If we learn english language then we talk anything with any countries people because all contries peolple talt to english, so international language is extreamly crucial in our life. For instant, now I prepareing ielts for my studies and ielts is a international course and it is a english course. So if I learn english then I study in any country. Lastly, the second statement is a effective thing. For that I agree.
In conclusion, learning foriegn language is not reasons order to travel and work in non-native country. Due to the fact, these ar not only reasons learn a international language.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You present a position in favour of learning languages for reasons beyond travel and work, and you include examples about watching films and preparing for IELTS. However, the discussion of the first view is not fully developed: you mention travel and work but do not explain why people consider these important reasons. The second view is repeated rather than explored through distinct reasons, and the examples are not always clearly connected to the argument. The opening also says “learning a foreign language are not reasons order to travel or work,” which makes your position difficult to understand at first. To strengthen the response, explain both views fairly, state your opinion clearly, and develop each main point with a relevant explanation and example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use signposting such as “Now, I discuss” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph shifts from travel and work to English being useful “in our life,” then to watching a film, without clearly linking these points. The second paragraph repeats that English is important and that you agree with the second view. Some linking phrases, including “For instant” and “Lastly,” do not establish a clear relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it, using references and transitions that make the connections explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a basic set of topic-related words, including “foreign language,” “travel,” “work,” “English,” and “studies,” which allows the general subject to be recognised. However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise, as in repeated uses of “important,” “effective,” and “international language.” Several spelling errors, such as “foriegn,” “peragraph,” “becasue,” and “contries,” are noticeable, while phrases such as “a potential language” and “an effective subject” do not express your intended meaning naturally. These choices sometimes make the argument harder to follow. Build a more accurate range for discussing benefits and purposes, and check spelling and collocations carefully. The suggestions below offer more natural alternatives for some of your wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with “because” and “if,” showing some effort to vary sentence forms. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns. Examples include “learning a foreign language are,” “I am not agree,” and “If we learn english language then we talk,” where agreement, verb forms, or sentence construction are faulty. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a international course” and “all countries people.” Punctuation is sometimes missing, including the space after “In conclusion,” and sentence boundaries are not always controlled. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and article use in short sentences before combining ideas into longer structures.
