Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both views and state your own position: the opening and conclusion support learning languages for broader benefits, while the body paragraphs cover work and education or cultural understanding. The examples about Pakistani workers and reading historical texts help make the points relevant. However, the work-related view is developed mainly through communication at international companies, and the education point is asserted rather than explained in detail. The claim that language learning helps people make friends is also introduced but not supported with an example or explanation. To strengthen the response, explain how each benefit works and connect each example more directly to the argument, while keeping your position clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the long, loosely connected sentences make relationships between ideas less clear. For example, the education, cultural-understanding, and history points are crowded into one paragraph, while “this view” in the second paragraph has an unclear reference. Use clearer topic sentences, divide or order related points more deliberately, and make pronouns refer unmistakably to a specific idea. This would make the progression easier to follow without relying mainly on transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “communication difficulty,” “language barrier,” “cultural understanding,” and “traditions and customs.” These choices show an attempt to discuss work, education, and culture rather than repeat only basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “dificulty,” “benfits,” “upgrde,” and “opporuinities.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “work in abroad,” “finding jobs opportunity,” and “exposure about cultures,” which can make the meaning less precise. Aim to learn common collocations as complete phrases and check spelling carefully. More accurate wording would help you express your ideas with greater clarity and flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “while” and a reason introduced by “One reason… is that.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “employee could be able” needs a plural or an article, and “which reduce language barrier” does not agree with its subject and lacks an article. The opening also joins clauses awkwardly, and several sentences begin with lowercase letters after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, checking singular–plural agreement and articles, and using punctuation to separate independent ideas.
