Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this argument, some people believe people learn foreign language for traveling and working. But other say it's not only reason of learning foreign language. In my openion, both statements are different purpose so, First i expalin both sides and than i say my answer.
On the first hand, people those are believe that, the people who learn foreign language for traveling and for work or job in foreign countries. I think it's a thinking of uneducated people or previous genrations. For example if farmer son get education related to foreign language, other people says they start the process of travelling to forigen country. But learning foreign language have many benifits.
On the other hand, people those are believe foreign language is very useful for other purpose. I think that's are belong to educated families. For example English is a international language. It is also useful in own country such as you start business on internatlional lavel, and you deal with coustmers that are belong to other countries and you talk with them so, English language is very esential for this process. You got information about cultur and life style of other people's who belong to foreign countries and different back grounds.
In concluation, I strongly believe learning foreign language only not for trveling and working in foreign countries. They have sevral benifits such as it is necessary for build a business at internationl level and it is very useful to get information about other cultures.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a clear overall opinion in the conclusion: learning a language is “not for travelling and working” alone. Your examples about international business and learning about other cultures are relevant. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the first view is described briefly, and the claim that its supporters are “uneducated people or previous generations” is an unsupported generalisation rather than a reasoned explanation. The opening also promises to explain both sides but does not clearly state your position until later. The response is five words below the required minimum, and this contributes to the limited development. Explain why travel and overseas work motivate learners, then support your broader view with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several linking expressions are inaccurate or mechanical, including “On the first hand” and “so” used to join ideas. The opening sentence about your plan does not add much to the argument, while the conclusion largely repeats the second body paragraph. Improve cohesion by using accurate transitions, making each paragraph develop one central point, and connecting examples explicitly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “foreign language,” “international level,” “customers,” and “cultures,” so the main ideas can generally be understood. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “foreign language” and “useful.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “openion,” “benifits,” “coustmers,” and “essential” misspelled as “esential.” Some expressions are unnatural or imprecise, for example “people those are believe” and “a thinking of uneducated people.” Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check spelling; choose natural collocations such as “learn a language,” “conduct international business,” and “communicate with clients abroad.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if farmer son get education” and a sentence explaining how English can support business. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “other say it's not only reason,” “people those are believe,” and “learning foreign language have many benefits.” These show problems with articles, subject–verb agreement, and clause construction. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in “so, First i expalin.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
