Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believes that the only reason for learning the foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. While the other argue that travel or work are not the only reasons why one should learn a foreign language. In my opinion, learning a foreign language helps you understand the familarity of contexts, along with personal skill development and attraction towards other culture.
On the one hand, people believe that one should only learn foreign language in case you planning to travel to country or looking to do work. They see language as medium to go through challenges of communication and dealing with normal days work. Peoples just only considers language a step for entry in specific area for example, most of international students learns German only because either they wanted a job or to communicate while shopping or asking questions
On the other hand, other believes that learning foreign lanaguage is't just about the requirement but it is to now the culture, daily interaction and a sign of respect to other. For example, a foreigner greet you in your language presents a sign of respect towards your culture and beliefs. Along with others, people learn foreign languages for their interests, skill deveopment or either to use that to communicate foreign people in ones own country
In my opinion, to travel to or work in foreign country language learning is a requirement so its not just bound to these reason only. There are several other reasons one should learn for skill development and personal interests. Learning foreign Languages are not bound only for travel or work these are for one broad respective or willingness to grow

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your own position: the first body paragraph presents language as useful for travel or work, while the next gives cultural understanding, respect, and personal development as other motives. This addresses the main parts of the prompt. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The example about international students learning German is relevant, but it is not explained in much detail, and the other reasons are mostly listed rather than supported. Your position is present, but the final claim that language learning supports “one broad respective or willingness to grow” is unclear. Develop each view with a specific explanation or example, and express your opinion more precisely. The 14 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion, and the ideas generally appear in a sensible order. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Along with others” does not clearly connect the sentence to the preceding point, and “In my opinion” introduces a conclusion that largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Some sentences also contain several ideas without clear relationships. Use linking phrases that show the precise connection between ideas, and make each paragraph progress from a main point to explanation and support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “communication,” “culture,” “respect,” “skill development,” and “personal interests.” These choices allow you to convey the main ideas, but the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less clear. Examples include “familarity of contexts,” “daily interaction,” and “broad respective”; the intended meanings are difficult to identify. There are also spelling errors such as “lanaguage,” “deveopment,” and “is't.” Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than assembling phrases that do not fit together. Proofreading spelling and choosing standard expressions such as “cultural understanding” will make your argument easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “While” and sentences using “because” and “For example.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For instance, “Some people believes” should use a plural verb, while “most of international students learns” has problems with both the article and agreement. “While the other argue” is also an incomplete sentence in this context. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular and plural forms. Greater accuracy in these basic patterns would make your more complex attempts clearer.
