The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The two pie charts compare the number of Britain learners at in a particular university in England who could speak other languages rather than English from 2000 and 2010.

From 2000, 30% of the students were not know any language accept English, French and another language had the same proportion which is 15% respectively. Spanish was the most popular known language compare to all of other languages accounted 20%. German only and two other languages showed at 10% respectively.

From 2010, the figure of the no other language increased by 5%. In addition, another language showed a gradual rose by 5%. Spanish and French had dramatically decreased by 10% respectively, from the following German learners remained stable over the period. Eventually, Two other language had the marginally decreased by 5%.

Overall, it can evident that all the students had significantly changes by learning a different languages over the timespan, although German language was remained unchanged.
