The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Pie charts for multilingual British students of a university is given for the year 2000 and 2010, who could speak languages other than English.

There is a clear decline can be seen in Spanish and French speakers. And there is also reduction in the stutents who had expertise in two languages.

In 2000 the portion of students who could not speak any other language, was 30 percent and that raised to 35 percent in 2010. The same trend of a climb from 15 to 20 percent is also present for the students had grip on French over the peiod of 10 years. The percentage of student speaking German is not varied at all.

The most signifacant drop occured in Spanish speaking students among all other languages. It declined from 20 percent to 10 percent in these 10 years. one of the major feature is that there was no student who knew only French other than English in 2010.
