The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

This chart shows us the information of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010.

Here we can see two charts in which first one is showing data of year 2000. This chart shows the percentage of different languages spoke by British students. As we can see 20 percent of students can only speak Spanish, 10 percent can only speak German, 10 percent can also speak two other languages as well and the left 30 percent can not speak other language than English.

On the other hand, we can see the trends got changed. Now the percentage of students speaking French got decreased to 10 percent, but the percentage of students speaking two other languages got increased and the percentage of students speaking German remains the same.

To conclude, we can say that the percentage of students learning different languages is decreasing day b day.
