The Pie chart diagrams are showing the comparison of a British students of a university in England of two different times. In 2000, the students who speak German language were 10% that remains same in 2010. The students who were not able to speak other languages were 35% in 2000 and increased by 5% in 2010. French speaker decreased by 5% as well. Spanish speaking is also decreased by 10% in 2010. compared to 2000. The students who were speaking two other languages that were 10% in 2000 and in 2010 5% were more. The students who could speak another language were 15% in 2000 and in 2010 those were 20% that also shows the increase of 5%.
If we compare both Pie charts we can see there is not a big difference in percentages, mostly there is only 5% increase but there is only Spanish language that has 10% change.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of the charts, identifying the key trends for each language category. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical, listing percentages rather than synthesizing the data into a cohesive summary. While you have identified the main changes, such as the 10% decrease in Spanish speakers, the overview provided in the final paragraph is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to group the data more effectively—for example, by contrasting the languages that increased with those that decreased—rather than listing each category individually. The response addresses the prompt, but the lack of a clear, analytical overview limits the depth of the task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is organized into two paragraphs, which is a logical structure for a short report. However, the flow between sentences is somewhat repetitive, relying heavily on 'The students who...' to start sentences. Cohesive devices are limited; you use 'in 2000' and 'in 2010' repeatedly, which makes the text feel a bit disjointed. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and phrases, such as 'In contrast,' 'Conversely,' or 'Meanwhile,' to connect your ideas more fluidly. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion needs more variety to guide the reader through the data comparisons more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You rely on simple verbs like 'speak,' 'increased,' and 'decreased.' While these are accurate, they do not demonstrate the range required for a higher band. There are also some minor issues with word choice and phrasing, such as 'Spanish speaking is also decreased' (should be 'The proportion of Spanish speakers decreased') and 'those were 20% that also shows the increase of 5%.' To improve, incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated,' 'remained stable,' 'accounted for,' or 'a significant proportion.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect clarity. For example, 'The Pie chart diagrams are showing' is awkward; 'The Pie charts illustrate' would be more natural. You also have issues with articles and pluralization, such as 'a British students' and 'French speaker decreased' (should be 'French speakers'). Additionally, the sentence 'The students who were speaking two other languages that were 10% in 2000 and in 2010 5% were more' is grammatically confusing. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct article usage will help improve your accuracy significantly.
