The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Overall, the percentage of students who spoke no language other than English increased slightly, while the figures for speaking Spanish or french only decreased. In contrast, the percentages for speaking another language or two other languages increased, whereas German remained unchanged.

In 2000, students who spoke no language other than English accounted for the largest proportion, at 30%. This figure increased slightly to 35% in 2010. Similarly, the percentage of students who spoke another language rose from 15% to 20%. The proportion who could speak two other languages also increased, from 10% to 15%.

By contrast, the proportion of students who spoke Spanish only fell from 20% in 2000 to 10% in 2010. The figure for French only also declined, from 15% to 10%. However, the percentage of students who spoke German only remained unchanged at 10% in both years.
