The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie charts depicts the British students in percentage who were attending the university in England and speaking other languages along with English in 2000 and 2010.
Overall, the percentage of Spanish and French speakers reduced, while the percentage of Another language, Two other languages and No other language increased.
In 2000, there were 20% and 15% of speakers who were able to communicate in Spanish and French respectively. This ratio was reduced and the speakers were only 10% speaking those languages in 2010. The speakers of German language remained same in 2000 an 2010 which was 10% in both of these years.
On the other hand, there were 10% of Two other languages, 15% of Another language and 30% of No other language speakers in 2000 which became 15%, 20% and 35% in 2010. Largest difference was seen in No other langu
