The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The pie charts illustrate the proportion of British students able to speak foriegn languages in addition to English at one university of England in 2000 and 2010.
Overall, in both years english language was the most spoken language in university. Instead of English Spanish was the second spoken language in 2000, While in 2010, another language was mostly spoken by students rather than english.
Firstly, in 2000, larger number students had spoke an english, contibuted 30%. In addition, about 20% of students had spoken Spanish. Additionlly, there were equal proportion of students able to speak French and another language. Similarly, German and two other languages hold the equal proportion, of 15%.
However, in 2010, the proportion of english spokens were increased from 30% to 35%. Another language speakers compromised at 20%. On the other hand, French, Spanish and German spoken at the same figure 10%, only 15% of students had abitly to speak two other languages.
