Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
Today it is most impactful area of recycle the waste in proper way. If it does not happen in appropriate way, then people have to suffer. As we can see there are plenty of wastage near by the residencias and garbage collection cart has been come to the place and found it hard to separate the wet garbage and the dry one.
I personally believed that there should be any mandatory rule by government to improve the quality of recycling home waste. for that is mandatory to separate the wet and dry waste. Government should applicable the penalty rule. as if someone does not do garbage separately, they should be penalized by the garbage collator. penalty should be strict if they do not pay it then garbage vans does not collect it. so that recycling process would be smoother.
As I experienced that the garbage collection vans come to our society to collect the garbage it has two sections, one is for dry waste and other is for wet waste. however, the people of society do not garbage it accordingly. so, the garbage collector finds difficulties in separating it due to all mess of wet and dry mixtures. therefor if government give authority to them to give penalty to the people who do garbage mix and not separate, which resulting into people have alertness of separation of garbage.
the conclusion is the Government should applicable the legal rules and make it compulsory to get better recycling of home waste. they should provide different sections for different kind of waste materials. like, plastic, cloths, wet mixtures, etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of mandatory recycling laws. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide a personal example regarding garbage collection, the argument remains repetitive and lacks depth. To improve, you should explore the broader implications of such laws, such as the environmental impact or the potential resistance from the public, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics of garbage collection. The conclusion is brief and restates the main point without adding new insight. To reach a higher band, ensure each paragraph develops a distinct, well-supported point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'as if someone does not do garbage separately' and 'therefor if government give authority' are used in ways that do not effectively link ideas. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by these awkward transitions. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that pronouns and references clearly point back to the intended subjects.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There is a reliance on basic terms like 'garbage', 'waste', and 'rules'. Some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'residencias' (likely meant 'residences'), 'garbage collator' (likely meant 'collector'), and 'applicable the penalty rule'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms related to environmental policy and waste management to demonstrate a more sophisticated range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'garbage vans does not collect'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'Government should applicable'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences being run-ons or fragments. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the text from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
