Student answer (Band 7.0)
Some people believe that the government should introduce laws to make it legal household recycle waste complusory, as voluntary effect have not been effective enough. I completely agree with this statement because legal requirements can encourage responsible behaviour and significantly increase recycling rates.
One of the main reason, the government should introduce recycling law is that they encourage epople to take responsibility to protecting the environment. Many individuals ignore the recycling waste because there are no penalties or other punishments for improve waste disposal. The Government shoud bring any type of law like fine, penalties, and other punishments for falling to recycling waste, most people likely to follow the rules. As a result, recycling rates would increase, reducing pollution and conserving natural resources like air, trees, animals, etc..
Moreover, legal requirements can create long-term environment awareness and promote sustainable habits. When, recycling becomes a legal obligation, people gradually develop the habit of seperating the waste at home, and future generations are more likely to adopt environmentally friendly and healthy lifestyle. However, the government also provide proper recycling facilities and education awarness calsses to public, for the small improvement shows huge development in environment to ensure that these laws are practical and effective.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the government should introduce laws are necessary to encourage people to recycle more in household waste. Although public education and better facilities are also important, legal measures are the most effective way to increase recycling and protect the envirenment and to improve human health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position in favor of legal requirements for recycling. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of penalties in encouraging responsibility and the long-term benefits of habit formation. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the argument regarding 'fines and penalties' is repetitive, and the mention of 'air, trees, animals' is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis of how such laws would function in practice. Despite these minor limitations, the position remains clear and consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'As a result', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'When, recycling becomes a legal obligation'. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. The referencing is generally clear, though some sentences could be linked more fluidly to improve the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'sustainable habits', 'legal obligation', and 'environmentally friendly'. However, there are several spelling errors ('complusory', 'epople', 'awarness', 'envirenment') and some awkward collocations, such as 'voluntary effect' instead of 'voluntary efforts'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider range of precise vocabulary to move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the government also provide') and incorrect word forms ('falling to recycling waste'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with unnecessary commas, such as in 'When, recycling becomes...'. While the writer attempts complex structures, these are often where the errors occur. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement, as these errors currently prevent the essay from reaching a higher band.
