Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is undeniable that enough of the waste from houses is recycled . In this regards government should make it compulsory to give importance to recycling . I agree to large extent with this statement due to several reasons which will outline in the forthcoming fragments with a logical conclusion.
To commence with , Law may encourage people to recycle more and more to prevent their environment . First and foremost is that some people do not recycle if there are no rules and regulations. To clarify this , people do not feel it important to recycle the things which are not in use any more . But if there are rules and regulations one would feel it as a duty to reuse the material. Secondly, higher authorities should induce penalty for those who split garbage here and there without any specific mean . If there will be any cost fine one will be aware to not to do that again . Moreover, laws ensure equality among people living in the country . As everyone have to contribute equally in any task . Then this results in majority in the people living in the nation .
However , there are several drawbacks of introducing rules for recycling. To elaborate it, individuals may feel it as restriction or they me feel discomfort if there are rules and regulations related to this . For example, some people who are any enterprenure or performing any job do not have sufficient time to do this . So in result , they will not be able to follow this rules .
To conclude , although there are several benefits of introducing laws such as nation equality , importance yet the drawbacks of this notion can not be neglected at any cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons for legal requirements, the counter-argument regarding the 'drawbacks' is underdeveloped; you mention time constraints for entrepreneurs but do not fully explain how this undermines the effectiveness of recycling laws. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully elaborated with specific examples or logical consequences. The introduction is slightly confusing, as the first sentence contradicts the prompt by stating 'it is undeniable that enough... is recycled,' which seems to be a slip of the pen rather than your intended argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with,' 'First and foremost,' and 'However' to signal transitions. However, some of these devices are used in a slightly mechanical or unnatural way. For instance, 'In this regards' and 'forthcoming fragments' are not standard academic collocations. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'this results in majority in the people,' which lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking phrases will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choice, such as 'split garbage here and there' (instead of 'litter' or 'dispose of waste improperly') and 'specific mean' (instead of 'reason' or 'purpose'). You also have some spelling errors, such as 'enterprenure' (entrepreneur). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that collocations are natural. For example, instead of 'give importance to,' consider 'prioritize' or 'mandate.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyone have to contribute'), article usage ('the nation' vs 'a nation'), and incorrect prepositional phrases ('in result' instead of 'as a result'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces before commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining your use of articles and prepositions. Attempting more complex sentence structures is good, but ensure they are grammatically accurate to avoid impeding the reader's understanding.
