one of the primary reasons why I hold this view is that land should be used for human development. This is because farmland, housing and industry play a crucial role in improving people's quality of life .For example government can build more houses for growing populations and develop industries that create news Jobs.as the result, people can enjoy better living conditions and more employment opportunities
However, protecting land for endangered animals is equally important. This is because many species are at risk of extinction sue to human activities. For example if forest are replaced by factories or residential areas, many animals will lose their natural habitats. As a result, some species may disappear completely, which can negatively affect the balance of ecosystems.
To sum up , although land is necessary for agriculture, housing and industry , it is also important to protect natural habitat for endangered animals .Therfore , I partly agree that human needs should be met , but I believe that wildlife conservation should not be ignored.
To conclude , voluntary efforts have largely failed to raise recycling rates to safe levels. Therefore, making home recycling a legal requirement with clear penalties is the most practical and necessary step to protect our environment

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to address the prompt effectively. While the introduction mentions recycling, the body paragraphs shift entirely to the topic of land use and endangered animals, which is irrelevant to the question about recycling laws. The essay essentially ignores the prompt's core requirement to discuss whether recycling should be a legal requirement. The conclusion attempts to pivot back to the topic, but the preceding arguments do not support this position. Because the content is largely off-topic, the development of ideas is severely limited and does not meet the requirements for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is severely disrupted by the shift in topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However' and 'To sum up', but they are often used to connect unrelated ideas, making the flow confusing. The introduction is disjointed, containing a mix of prompt-related text and a strange meta-commentary about the essay's purpose. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of thematic unity between the paragraphs prevents the essay from being coherent. The referencing is often unclear due to the sudden change in subject matter.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'resisdence' for residence, 'reprocessed' for recycled, and 'solely' used incorrectly for 'only'. The range of vocabulary is basic and repetitive. While the meaning is generally clear in individual sentences, the lack of precise terminology related to environmental policy or waste management hinders the quality of the response. The student struggles to use less common lexical items accurately, and the errors occasionally make the text feel unnatural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies on a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but these are frequently marred by grammatical errors. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Few individual demand' and 'if forest are replaced'. Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction is high. The range of structures is limited, and the errors are persistent throughout the text, which prevents a higher score.
