Student answer (Band 6.0)

Recycling is very significant for a nation. A few individual complain that most of the garbage in our house is not properly reused. They thought that there is only one way of increasing the process of recycling is that the government had to make proper law for public awareness. In this essay i will explain the rules that are made for the recycling process.

i thought that there is excessive need of awareness in the nation about the significance of the recycling process. Suppose someone who had a plastic bottle along him instead of throwing it in the garbage if he recycle this bottle so it can be used again and again but no one in the country likes to do this as a result a lot of garbage is placed in every part of the country which can cause many health problems so the only solution of this problem is to make the recycling process legal and everyone in the country had to face the legal action if they do not follow this law and had to face heavy penalty.

The main reason for these penalties is because the recycling process is not taking seriously by anyone the country and if the individuals knows about the circumstances they had to follow if they do not perform the recycling process so dua to the fear of the law they had to perform the recycling process. i likely

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While you present a clear position that legal intervention is necessary, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The essay stops abruptly, leaving the conclusion incomplete. To improve, ensure you fully develop your supporting points with specific examples and maintain a consistent focus throughout the essay. The under-length nature of the response limits the ability to fully explore the complexities of the topic, resulting in a lower score for task achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay shows some basic organization, but the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between ideas is often mechanical or abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'as a result' and 'the main reason for', but they are sometimes used inaccurately or repetitively. The lack of a proper conclusion and the abrupt ending significantly disrupt the flow of the argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that contributes to the overall logical development of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'significant', 'garbage', and 'process' repeatedly. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'had a plastic bottle along him' instead of 'with him', and 'dua to' (a spelling error). To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental policy and waste management. Avoid repeating the same words and focus on using synonyms and more sophisticated collocations to express your ideas more clearly and effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'A few individual complain'), tense inconsistencies (e.g., 'They thought that there is'), and awkward phrasing. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and pluralization. Increasing your control over complex structures will also help improve your score in this criterion.
