Student answer (Band 5.0)
few individuals think that not sufficient waste from recycled by private homes . while other people belive that one of the way to rose recycling is for authorities would make legal laws . I will partially agree from this statement because make a action from government should solve this issue but not by doing government effort they will increase
To commence with, the major factor behind it people dont focus to save environment . To explain it , many individuals throw their waste anywhere rather than they want to throw in bins , For example , i study in the very popular novel they give information about how to governments should impose a fine on it . as a result they will get clean environment and waste will also recycled .
However , society wants to participate in social welfare service which they are getting a knowledge . In breif , people also worried about their waste beacuse at the end the waste material is yours not the government should spread . For instance , in multi media news i heard like each individual doing a crime to throw their waste on roads but rather than they want to take care of their waste and only throw on bins or appropriate space . Therefore, this helps to clean environment and good sorrondings
In conclusion, although governemnt make laws or take a fine from lawbreakers and spread awareness ,yet society want to pay more attention to save our environment by doing their waste thorws in dustbins

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether recycling should be a legal requirement. However, the position is not always clear due to grammatical issues, and the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that government action is necessary, the supporting arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the example regarding a 'popular novel' is vague and does not effectively support the argument about legal requirements. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-developed point that directly answers the question of 'to what extent' laws are needed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the use of 'In breif' or 'To commence with' which do not always fit the context of the sentences. The logical progression of ideas is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Referencing is sometimes ambiguous, and the transition between ideas could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'rose recycling' instead of 'increase recycling' and 'waste beacuse at the end the waste material is yours'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'sorrondings' (spelling error) and 'multi media news'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary related to environmental issues and ensure that your word choices are appropriate for an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
There is a lack of control over complex sentence structures, and the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'governments should impose'), incorrect article usage, and fragmented sentences (e.g., 'not by doing government effort they will increase'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces placed before commas and periods. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and reducing the frequency of errors in simple sentences before attempting more complex structures.
