Student answer (Band 5.0)

People believes the most of the waste are not proper recycled, but if it become a legal requirement by government that there is a chance of improvement. Below I am going to discuss is there any rules and regulations are needed or not.

People consider only the government can encourage the communities to recycle their waste if it become a essential requirement. They believes, after the approval of law by authorizes people will keep their waste material in the recycle bin and than can utilize it. In addition, there can be several reasons regarding the people demand. Firstly, public do not take it as their responsibility, or they are unaware of it. However, people in the past tried to store household waste than they utilized in another way. For instance, vegetarian waste used for soil improvement. Secondly, may a group of people have no time for this process as they work whole day or they need a awareness campaigns. Furthermore, recycling process can be enhance and can utilize in more productive way after it marked as legal.

According to my opinion, The laws are necessary because everybody want some knowledge for this process. For example, tv programs are the war people can learn without much investment. Furthermore Every body should consider the safety term for the environment and try to recycle extra materials. In this way there is no burden on government and individuals.

In conclusion, people are considering only the way of recycling is to involve the government, but I believes every one should behave like a nation and play their role.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government legislation in recycling. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention reasons for low recycling rates, such as lack of responsibility or time constraints, these points are not fully extended or supported with clear, logical arguments. The position is somewhat inconsistent; you initially suggest laws are needed, but the conclusion shifts to a focus on individual responsibility. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed argument that directly supports your thesis, and maintain a consistent stance throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by unclear transitions and repetitive sentence structures. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion', they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately. For instance, the transition 'In addition, there can be several reasons regarding the people demand' is vague and does not effectively link to the previous sentence. The referencing is occasionally confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas precisely. You rely on simple terms like 'people', 'waste', and 'good'. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'proper recycled' (properly recycled), 'authorizes' (authorities), and 'vegetarian waste' (organic waste). To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental issues and government policy. Focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—rather than just individual words, and ensure you use the correct word forms (e.g., nouns vs. verbs).

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'People believes' and 'the most of the waste are'. Additionally, there are errors with article usage, sentence fragments, and punctuation. Your sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'if it become a legal requirement... that there is a chance'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of conditional structures. Proofreading for common errors like missing 's' on plural verbs or incorrect verb tenses will help you achieve a higher score.
