Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well i would like to talk about the waste from our houses that are not recycling too much.
Some people claims that not enough of the waste from houses is recycling. They have their own opinion they thinks that Government should take part and make rules on waste and not allow people to waste too much of there foods and also their other products, they also thinks if Government will play his rule it will be easy to encourages people to don't waste their products.
In my opinion Government should implement laws about waste they can play some advertisement on TV and also on social media about waste from our houses in this way they can do better not just trough there law but also they can encourage people. In result if people will follow the rule from Government it will be good for there and also for society. And it will help people to manage their monthly or yearly income. If people recycle there some houses waste they can make different products also.
There are many countries how are working on waste from house and also from industries and are making valuable products from the waste, for example Norway and Sweden, I saw on social media, Norway Government are making roads with waste with low budget and also in Sweden Government are making very good quality roads for their people. And also in India i saw on face book there is a school who are making good product with waste and it also helps students to learn new skills and improve their mental health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government legislation in recycling. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that laws could encourage recycling and provide examples of countries like Norway and Sweden, the connection between these examples and the necessity of legal requirements is not fully explored. The position is clear, but the arguments remain somewhat superficial and lack depth. To improve, you should focus on explaining 'why' and 'how' legislation specifically changes behavior, rather than just stating that it would be beneficial. The response is somewhat repetitive in its phrasing regarding the government's role.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'and also' to connect sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, for example, 'in this way they can do better' lacks a specific antecedent. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence flows logically from the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'make rules on waste' instead of 'implement regulations' and 'play his rule' instead of 'play its role'. The phrasing 'not recycling too much' is imprecise. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'recycle' and 'industries', the range is insufficient to express complex ideas. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more precise academic terminology related to environmental policy and government action.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Some people claims' and 'they thinks'. Punctuation is also problematic, with many run-on sentences and missing commas, particularly in the second paragraph. The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. There are also errors with articles and prepositions, such as 'from our houses' instead of 'household waste'. To improve, you must focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles.
