Student answer (Band 5.5)
many individuals believe that waste of houses is not recycled. according to them governments are the only source to enhance recycling by make a legal requirement. whether laws are necessary to make peoples recycle of their waste or not is the basic discussion of this essay. I will discuss my opinion with reasons and examples.
wastage of home should be recycled for different purposes. one of the basic aim to recycle the products that wastage is harmful for economy. laws are necessary to because mostly people not follow things unless they are not required to do so. if government make laws that household waste separate from the recycled material for recycling purpose then peoples create a habit to make things useful for next time period. for example if local authorities make a rule and arrange proper dust bin to seperate plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic glass and other plastic related products and make proper fine if that rules and regulation not followed by general public then environment become clean.
on the other hand with government rules and regulation proper session provided to public to educate that how. we recycled the products after its use then peoples aware the benefits of recycling and move towards. government can aware public by using social media or promoting different adds or conduct different seminars to provide guideline about recycling.
in conclusion, I would like to describe that laws are too much important to regularize the rules that people understand that its responsibilities of everyone to clean the environment. by the legasilation its also necessary that people have knowledge about to do things in best possible ways.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government legislation in recycling. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that laws are necessary because people often fail to act without them, the explanation remains superficial. The second body paragraph shifts to the importance of education, which is relevant but could have been more clearly linked to the 'legal requirement' aspect of the prompt. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and specific, well-developed examples. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained point that directly supports your thesis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'one of the basic aim to' and 'on the other hand with government rules' are used to transition, but they do not always create a smooth flow between sentences. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical progression between ideas is sometimes interrupted by grammatical errors. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that your sentences connect logically to the main topic of the paragraph.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'recycling', 'government', and 'products'. Some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'wastage of home' instead of 'household waste' and 'government can aware public' instead of 'government can raise public awareness'. There are also minor errors in word formation, such as 'legasilation'. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'mostly people not follow'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'how. we recycled the products'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of full stops and commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage.
