Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is number of people who, think that the waste come from homes is not recycled. Government have to make some new rules.
However, Government have to plan to stop this because waste produce to many health problems. If high authority plant some machines in public area like supermart, shopping malls. For example like in germany if you go to public center there is machines where you insert plastic and get some insentive. All people collect there plastic bottle and in weekend the go to the machines and claim there money.
Moreover, government should seprate the dustbin and make seprate parts for paper, plastic and metal. Soo when garbage collector collect garbage it is easy for him to recycle. Government add some fine for the people who do not recycle their watse. In devolping country this rule is very common governmet make some insitude where they have to submit their weekly waste if they dont they have have to pay fine. Government have to plan some public events for public precautions.
In my perception, It is also public responsibility after government to make their surrounding clean. pick garbage from puclic area and submit to government insitude. We can also recyle waste easily by own like make some toys from plastic for kids and also make some usefull household.
In conclusion, Government should make some rules and its public responsbilty to obey all rules.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government legislation in recycling. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you provide relevant examples like the German recycling machine system, the arguments remain somewhat superficial and lack depth. The position is clear, but the under-length nature of the response means that the ideas are not fully extended or supported as required for a higher band. To improve, you should expand on the consequences of government intervention and provide more detailed reasoning for your personal perspective.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'Government' at the start of sentences. Transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow is hindered by the brevity of the paragraphs. The referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the connection between government rules and personal responsibility could be more smoothly integrated. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring clear topic sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'make', 'rules', and 'things'. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'supermart', 'insentive', 'seprate', 'devolping', 'insitude', 'puclic') and word choice issues (e.g., 'submit their weekly waste' instead of 'dispose of'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the frequent spelling mistakes limit the score. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including collocations and less common lexical items, and ensure accurate spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Government have to', 'waste produce to many'), missing articles ('There is number of people'), and incorrect verb forms ('If high authority plant'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely prevent communication, they are frequent enough to cause difficulty for the reader. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would lead to immediate improvement.
